I'm sure no one is reading this, since the last post was September of 08, but oh well! The school year has ended and just a quick recap. Leaving Cat to teach was a great decision. I can honestly say this has been the best year of my life. It wasn't without trials, but man was it good. I was blessed to spend the entire year with an incredible group of 6th graders..I was sad to see the year end and miss all of them already. I was blessed with incredibly supportive, gracious, encouraging, and generous parents. The staff and administration is incredible and I love being there. Teaching is hard, but it is so much fun and I hope that I am making a difference!
Our marriage is going great. God has been teaching us a ton through Christ Church....grace..justification...I just listen to the sermons over and over and am amazed at how God has revealed so much about Himself to us this year. I have learned so much (still have a lot to learn) about biblical manhood and womanhood and look forward to studying it more over the summer. The leadership at Christ Church is amazing and it has become our family..we are so thankful to be there. Through them I have learned to rest in grace and trust in God's sovereignty.
Future is a little uncertain and scary. Lisa just finished her 5th year at the school she loves, but is resigning because of the daily 120 mile commute. She has applied at Cornerstone, so who knows what she will be doing next year. She is an amazing, gifted teacher and I am so proud of her. I am planning on returning and looking forward to doing something I have always wanted to do, coaching basketball (7th grade boys). The Lord willing, we are hoping to start a family sometime this year!
The immediate future holds something I am very excited for. Lots of time with my wife in Europe and visiting our cousins that we love so much, Jenn, Wade, and li'l Elle! Can't wait! If we can find some Internet cafes, we will post some updates as to our journeys.
